ADBE Stock: Adobe Uses Generative AI For Video, Audio

Creative software firm Adobe (ADBE) is expanding its recently announced generative artificial intelligence products to include video and audio applications. ADBE stock has risen on news of its efforts in generative AI.

On Monday, the San Jose, Calif.-based company announced an expansion of its Adobe Firefly family of generative AI models. The new products will allow creative professionals to produce and dramatically enhance video and audio content while streamlining workflows.

Adobe introduced Firefly and its first set of software tools at the company's Summit conference on March 21. Those tools focused on creating images from text prompts. Meanwhile, ADBE stock rose 3.1% on the news.

The latest Firefly tools for Adobe's Creative Cloud will give creators the power to automatically generate hundreds of content variations needed for film and TV production. Also, Adobe designed its generative AI content to be safe for commercial use.

The Firefly video and audio tools will enable production teams to test different video colors, themed music, sound effects, placeholder footage and animated text effects. Further, the tools can cut preproduction and postproduction time from days to minutes, the company said.

For instance, creators will be able to change color schemes, time of day, or even the seasons in already-recorded videos by using text prompts. A sample text-to-video prompt would be: "Make this scene feel warm and exciting."

The Firefly video applications will be available later this year.

On the stock market today, ADBE stock slipped 0.4% to 377.92.

ADBE stock has formed a cup base with a buy point of 451.25, according to IBD MarketSmith charts. Also, Adobe shares carry an IBD Composite Rating of 97 out of 99, according to IBD Stock Checkup.
